As a newborn care specialist, we provide a range of services including newborn care support, breastfeeding assistance, emotional support for parents, light household chores, and guidance on postpartum recovery.

The length of our stay depends on the needs and preferences of each family. We offer both short-term and long-term support, ranging from a few days to several weeks or even months.

We have families book as little as 2 days a week to having someone live in 24/7. Every family’s needs are different and we work hard to find your family the perfect fit. We recommend a minimum of 2 days/nights booked a week with a minimum of 10-hour shifts overnight and 6-hour shifts during the day.

Services can range anywhere from $45+ an hour depending on the type of service, how many babies, and location. We offer different ways to pay, including our gift registry! Absolutely! We offer overnight support to help parents get much-needed rest while we take care of the baby’s needs, including feeding, diaper changes, and soothing.

The safety of the baby is our top priority. We follow best practices in newborn care, including safe sleep guidelines, proper hygiene practices, and maintaining a clean and sanitized environment. We are trained in infant CPR and first aid, ensuring that we can respond to any emergencies if they arise.

At Moonlight Nurturer, we carefully screen every member of our team to ensure they meet the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and newborn care.

Our Newborn Care Specialists (NCS) have completed a recognized newborn care certification through either the Newborn Care Specialist Association (NCSA) or CACHE. We value formal education combined with hands-on experience caring for newborns and supporting families.

Before joining our team, each caregiver is required to have:

• A current Newborn Care Specialist certification through the NCSA or CACHE (for NCS positions)

• Current Infant & Adult CPR certification

• Child abuse clearances

• Criminal background clearances

• A background check

• A thorough screening and interview process

• A minimum of two professional references that are personally contacted and verified by our agency

Pittsburgh, Mt. Lebanon, Carnegie, Bridgeville, Bethel Park, Upper St. Clair, South Hills, Washington, Canonsburg, Peters Township, Greensburg, Murrysville, Monroeville, North Hills, Cranberry Township, Wexford, Mars, Butler, Zelienople, Beaver, Sewickley, and surrounding areas.
